If you had asked me 9 months ago where I would be in the second week of January 2012, there is no way I could have answered with the reality of the situation. I could not have said that I would have spent 6 months in France, developing in confidence and language ability and NO WAY could I have possibly imagined I would be moving to Poland.... tomorrow!!! How amazing!
I've just spent a wonderful weekend with my parents in Bridlington on the East coast of England. The sun was shining, wind blowing (no surprise there), and the seaside looked as beautiful as ever. A nice relaxing time to just chill out and spend some quality time with my parents before I leave. I know they appreciated it and I sure did :-D Now it's all last minute preparation (finishing packing could be a start) and last goodbyes before I'm off.

It's a stranger feeling this time leaving, because last time I literally had an exact date of when I would be back (as my previous project was 6 months to the dot). This time however, there is no exact finish time. In France, it was my first time away and in many cases I counted down the time because I knew it would soon finish. Here, as long as we all get along (which I don't doubt) and I'm good at what I'm doing, it could be a year, or 2, or who knows hehe... You never know what can happen :-)
I now feel far more open-minded to possibilities that may come my way. I would love to learn the Polish language (although I know that could be incredibly difficult) and really get stuck in to the culture. I've heard that it's lovely down near Katowice and to be so close to other countries just gives so many more options. Living in England always feels slightly stuck to me, being an island with generally pretty expensive travel costs!
Saying that, I will miss England in many ways, as I know anyone who lives away would miss their homeland (however much they may deny it). There is undoubtedly beautiful scenery here (much of which not many people know about) and the people can be great (some are the exception). I have amazing family and friends at home, but they are always there for me, and as many already know, they have gotta visit Poland :-P I love how Poland is one of those countries most people don't think to visit... but it already seems to have sooo much to offer! The majority of people from school have travelled to South East Asia (Thailand and the sorts) but I wanna stay closer to home and discover Europe ... I am European after all :-)
For now, I guess I should finish packing (always helps), do the dreaded weighing of bags (YUCK) and try and get some more of this dreaded TEFL certificate out of the way... I'm stillll trying to finish it... just 4 more modules to go now, which means I've officially finished 100 of the 140 hours... don't worry it won't take me another 40 hours ;-) At least I hope not... I've only got 3 weeks to do it AGHHHH!!! Hahahaha.
